Lucknow Flood Relief Teams Deliver 1,900 Food Packets By Boat
Parts of Lucknow are flooded as the Gomti River rises.
Some streets are too hard to reach normally, so relief teams are using boats.
They delivered food, supplies and drinking water to families in affected neighbourhoods.
The city’s municipal teams distributed 1,900 food packets in two shifts.
Officials visited areas to check how the help was being delivered.
Workers also used drones to spray against mosquito larvae in two places.
The city plans to use three drones to cover more areas when the water level stabilises.
Lucknow Municipal Corporation teams delivered 1,900 food packets and drinking-water bottles in morning and evening shifts.
Boats carried cooked food, raw and dry ration to waterlogged neighbourhoods in Zones 3 and 6.
Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar inspected affected areas including Faizullaganj and Gulmi Khera on Friday.
Around 70 personnel at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University helped handle incoming supplies over the previous two days.
