SC Hears Plea on Ram Temple Donation Probe
The Supreme Court of India is hearing a case about some people who say that money given by the public for building the Ram Temple in Ayodhya might have been used wrongly.
The court has asked the Uttar Pradesh government to consider having a special team, called an SIT, to investigate this.
The government says the police are already investigating and eight people have been arrested.
The court wants to make sure the investigation is fair and not politicized.
The petitioners want a special agency, the CBI, to investigate and have asked for an audit of the temple's finances.
The court will decide what to do next on July 27.
The Supreme Court is hearing a plea for a CBI probe into alleged financial irregularities in Ram Temple donations.
The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted an SIT to investigate the allegations, and eight people have been arrested.
