Airbnb shares surge 16% to four-year high on Q2 beat

Airbnb shares surge 16% to four-year high on Q2 beat

Airbnb is a website where people can rent out homes to travelers.

The company told everyone how much money it made in the last three months, and the news was very good.

People are still traveling and booking lots of places to stay, even though there is a conflict far away in the Middle East.

Airbnb made $3.6 billion, which is more money than people expected.

Travelers booked 148.3 million nights and experiences.

Because the company did so well, people who own shares of Airbnb got excited, and the price of the stock jumped 16%.

That made the stock worth $176.20, the highest it has been in more than four years.

Airbnb also said it expects to keep doing well for the rest of the year and raised its outlook.

Some of the company's success comes from using artificial intelligence to answer customer questions faster and cheaper.

The company is also trying new things, like offering hotels and fun local experiences, not just home rentals.
