Assam Faces Youth Outmigration Due to Skill Gaps
A smart man named Dr Sashikanta Saikia gave a big speech in Assam.
He said that many young people from Assam are leaving to find jobs in other places like Kerala and Karnataka.
He thinks this is because they don't have the right skills to find good jobs at home.
He suggested that if these young people learn to create jobs instead of just looking for them, they might stay in Assam.
The event was part of a big meeting of journalists where they also had fun activities like flag hoisting and a play.
Dr Sashikanta Saikia highlighted the need for technical and vocational skills in Assam to reduce youth outmigration.
He noted that many young Assamese are working in states like Kerala, Karnataka, and Gujarat due to lack of local opportunities.
Saikia proposed that job creation within Assam could substantially reduce migration for employment.
The event included flag hoisting by various press clubs and community representatives.
Cultural performances and competitions were held as part of the TDJA conference.
