How ChatGPT Creates Viral 1980s-Style Photo Portraits
People are using ChatGPT to make their photos look like they were taken in the 1980s.
They upload a clear picture and describe the old-fashioned style they want.
ChatGPT can change the person’s clothes, hairstyle, background and lighting.
It can also add soft focus and a small amount of film grain.
Users can choose styles inspired by Bollywood portraits, family albums or Hollywood studio photos.
They can ask ChatGPT to keep the person’s face and natural skin tone recognizable.
If the result is not right, they can change the instructions and try again.
Many people share the finished pictures on Instagram.
They use the “Add Yours” sticker to encourage friends to join the trend.
The viral trend transforms existing photos into portraits resembling images from the 1980s.
ChatGPT can alter clothing, hairstyles, accessories, backgrounds, lighting and photographic style.
Users can request Bollywood, family-album or Hollywood-inspired retro portraits while preserving facial features.
A clear photo is uploaded through ChatGPT’s “+” button, followed by a detailed style prompt.
Finished images are often shared on Instagram Stories using the “Add Yours” sticker.
