Matthew Hayden Blames Pakistan Cricket Chaos for Inconsistent Performances
Pakistan’s cricket team has been having serious problems behind the scenes.
The team lost two Tests in a row against England.
After those losses, the Pakistan Cricket Board changed several players and coaches.
Matthew Hayden, a former Australian cricketer who worked with Pakistan, said the team faces too much confusion.
He described Pakistan cricket as a pressure cooker surrounded by difficult problems.
Hayden believes Pakistan has many talented players.
However, he said young players are not given enough stability to focus.
He compared Pakistan’s situation with the decline of West Indies cricket.
Pakistan’s cricket leaders will now try a new combination of players and coaches before the third Test.
Pakistan Cricket Board released seven players and two coaches after back-to-back Test defeats against England.
Experienced players Muhammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq and Salman Ali Agha were among those released.
Head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul were sent home before the third Test.
White-ball head coach Mike Hesson was summoned, while seven replacements were named, including five uncapped Test players.
Matthew Hayden said Pakistan has abundant talent but its chaotic environment prevents emerging players from focusing and performing consistently.
