Birbhum Raid Seizes 28.5 Crore Cash, 15kg Gold
Police went to a house in a town called Birbhum in India.
They found a lot of money and gold, worth about 28.5 crore rupees.
The man who ran the house, Minar Mondal, was taken into custody.
The police said this was part of a big effort to stop people from stealing money from sand mines.
The state’s chief minister said the government will keep fighting corruption and will look into anyone who helped the sand traders.
Police raided Tullu Mondal’s house in Birbhum, seizing Rs 28.5 crore in cash and 15 kg of gold.
Manager and brother‑in‑law Minar Mondal was arrested and the residence sealed.
The raid is part of a broader crackdown on alleged illegal sand mining and revenue siphoning in Birbhum.
