Haryana CM Saini accuses AAP of false poll promises in Punjab
There are two neighboring states, Haryana and Punjab, and the top leader of Haryana is upset with the leaders of Punjab.
He says the Punjab leaders made big promises to people before an election, but did not keep them.
One promise was to give women money every month, but the leader says it was not given starting from the beginning.
He also says some older people now get less pension money than before.
The Haryana leader says his own state did keep its promise to women by giving them money.
He says the Punjab leaders only talk about helping people now because another election is coming soon.
The leader also says the Punjab chief minister should share proof when making complaints about another town.
He thinks people should ask for an account of all the promises that were made.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accused AAP of calling itself 'kattar imandar' (staunchly honest) while making false promises to Punjab voters.
Saini alleged Punjab's elderly pension was reduced from Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,000 after the 'Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana' was introduced.
He questioned why AAP's promised Rs 1,000 monthly assistance to women was not provided from day one, saying it is now being announced only weeks before Punjab Assembly elections.
Saini contrasted this with Haryana, which decided in its first Budget to provide Rs 2,100 monthly assistance to eligible women.
Responding to Bhagwant Mann's paper-leak gang allegation, Saini said the Punjab government should get its own police to take action and called for evidence-based statements.
He noted that AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal's native place, Bhiwani, is also the district at the centre of Mann's allegations.

Fulfilment of AAP's promises to Punjab
Punjab CM / AAP Perspective
AAP reportedly disputes Saini's narrative; the party's stance is implied through Mann's public criticism of the Haryana government and the claim that AAP is committed to its voters.
Haryana CM / Saini Perspective
AAP only delivers benefits like financial assistance to women months before elections, after having failed to provide them from the start, and its 'kattar imandar' image is contradicted by Punjab's condition.
Women's financial assistance
Punjab CM / AAP Perspective
AAP has begun speaking about providing financial assistance for one or two months to women, implying it is now addressing the issue.
Haryana CM / Saini Perspective
If AAP intended to benefit women, it should have given the promised Rs 1,000 monthly assistance from the very first year instead of waiting until elections approached.
Paper-leak gang allegation against Bhiwani
Punjab CM / AAP Perspective
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has alleged that a paper-leak gang operates in Bhiwani, Haryana.
Haryana CM / Saini Perspective
The allegation lacks facts and evidence; if Mann genuinely believed it, the Punjab government should get its own police to take action, keeping in mind that Bhiwani is also Kejriwal's native place.
