Miss Universe owners face fraud, trafficking allegations
The Miss Universe beauty pageant has been involved in a new scandal.
The Thai co-owner, Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip, is accused of fraud, while the Mexican co-owner, Raul Rocha Cantu, is being investigated for trafficking arms, drugs, and fuel.
This comes after the pageant, which was won by Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch, had its own drama.
Bosch walked out of a meeting with the pageant's Thai director after being insulted.
She has since received threats over allegations linking her father to the contest's co-owner.
The pageant was previously owned by US President Donald Trump.
