Healey Unveils Optimistic UK Growth Agenda Ahead of Budget

John Healey is the United Kingdom’s chancellor of the exchequer.

He plans to describe a hopeful economic future for the country.

His plan includes £150 million to help businesses create new ideas in northern England.

He also wants to reduce government rules that businesses find difficult.

The government says economic growth must happen alongside careful control of public money.

Andy Burnham’s government has already introduced cheaper bus fares and reduced some electricity taxes.

However, high debt and expensive government borrowing leave less money available.

Healey is also under pressure to increase defence spending by 2030.
