Hardoi Seer Found Murdered; Associate Arrested as Investigation Continues

Babulal, a 35-year-old man who lived as a sadhu, was found dead in Hardoi on Sunday morning.

His body was on the veranda of a market complex.

Police said he had been killed with an axe and a brick.

His associate, Munshilal, was arrested later that day.

Police also recovered an axe they say may have been used in the crime.

Babulal had lived in a temple for four years.

Munshilal had stayed with him for about one-and-a-half years.

Police have not yet established why the killing happened or whether the two had a dispute.

They are continuing to investigate.
