India Exports First Rose-Scented Litchis to Qatar
India is now sending special rose-scented litchis to other countries!
These tasty fruits, which smell like roses, come from Punjab.
They were sent to Qatar and Dubai to show how good Indian fruits are and help farmers sell their crops worldwide.
Litchis originally came to India a long time ago, but the places where they grow the best have changed over time.
The government is working hard to help farmers sell their fruits and make India a bigger player in the global market, with fruit exports rising.
India exported its first batch of rose-scented litchis to Qatar.
The shipment of one tonne originated from Pathankot, Punjab, with a smaller batch sent to Dubai.
The litchis are known for their floral aroma and sweetness and were supported by Apeda.
Production has shifted, with Bihar's litchi output declining and states like Punjab stepping in.
