PM‑KISAN Extended to 2030‑31 with ₹3.15 Lakh Crore Outlay
The Indian government decided to keep a program called PM‑KISAN running for another five years.
Farmers who own land get ₹6,000 each year, split into three payments, straight into their bank accounts.
The government will spend about ₹3.15 lakh crore on this.
So far, more than ₹4.47 lakh crore has already been paid to almost 9.5 crore farmers, and women farmers have received over ₹1.06 lakh crore.
The program helps farmers buy seeds, fertilizer, and machines, and it has made many farms more productive and less dependent on loans from moneylenders.
Union Cabinet approved PM‑KISAN extension for FY 2026‑27 to FY 2030‑31.
Five‑year outlay of ₹3,15,614 crore (≈₹3.15 lakh crore) was sanctioned.
Eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three ₹2,000 instalments via DBT.
Over ₹4.47 lakh crore has been disbursed; 9.49 crore farmers benefited in the 23rd instalment.
Women farmers received more than ₹1.06 lakh crore; the scheme has improved productivity and reduced informal credit.
