Election Commission adds VIP tracking feature to BLO App

Election Commission adds VIP tracking feature to BLO App

The Election Commission has added a new tool to its voter-verification app.

Booth-level officers can use it to mark certain high-profile voters as VIPs.

The mark sends the voter’s record through several levels of official review.

It is meant to reduce the chance that these voters are accidentally left off draft voter lists.

Tagged people can be included even if they have not filled out an enumeration form.

They may also receive help without visiting a hearing center in person.

However, being marked VIP does not mean their records cannot be questioned.

Officials can still ask for documents and process claims or objections.
