Britannia Industries Reports 23% Profit Growth in Q2 FY26
Britannia, a popular snack company, had a good quarter for profits, making about 23% more money than last year.
This is because the ingredients they use, like flour and sugar, didn't get much more expensive, and they found ways to save money in making and selling their products.
Their total sales also went up a little, by 4%.
Some recent changes to the GST tax system caused a few temporary problems in how they sell things and get products to stores, but they expect this to get better soon.
Even with these issues, some of their snack items, like rusks and wafers, did very well, especially when people bought them online.
Looking ahead, Britannia wants to keep growing by making more sales and reaching more people across India with their popular products.
Britannia Industries reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 655.06 crore for the September quarter, a 23.23% increase year-over-year.
Consolidated revenue rose by 4% to Rs 4,752.17 crore during the same quarter.
Profit growth was attributed to stable commodity prices and effective cost optimization across the value chain.
Despite transitional challenges from GST changes impacting supply chains, categories like rusk, wafers, and croissants achieved double-digit growth, boosted by e-commerce.
The company plans to focus on healthy, volume-led growth through expanded geographic presence and consumer-centric strategies.
