PM Modi to Launch Multiple Trains in West Bengal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to start several new trains in West Bengal on January 17.
The most important one is the first Vande Bharat Sleeper Express, which will go from Guwahati to Kolkata.
This train has special features like comfortable seats, good safety systems, and facilities for differently-abled passengers.
The train will help people travel more easily between Assam and West Bengal.
It will also support trade and tourism.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will also start seven new Amrit Bharat Express routes and a passenger train between Jayrambati and Maynapur.
This shows the government's commitment to developing Assam and making travel better for everyone.
The BJP claims that the Modi government has been working on development across all states, while the TMC alleges that North Bengal has not seen much improvement in infrastructure and connectivity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the first Vande Bharat Sleeper Express between Guwahati and Kolkata on January 17.
The train features 16 coaches with a total passenger capacity of 823, including AC 3-tier, AC 2-tier, and First Class AC coaches.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is equipped with advanced safety features like the 'Kavach' system and emergency passenger talk-back units.
During his visit, PM Modi will also flag off seven new Amrit Bharat Express routes and a passenger train between Jayrambati and Maynapur.
The Ministry of Railways is investing Rs 3,600 crore to upgrade 101 railway stations in West Bengal under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
