Bhopal Police Bust Extortion Gang Posing as Crime Branch Officers

A group of people in a city called Bhopal pretended to be police officers even though they were not.

They drove around in a white car and stopped people on the street.

They told people they were from a special police unit called the Crime Branch.

They scared people by saying they would be arrested for drugs.

One young man was so frightened that the group followed him home and took his money and things.

The real police found out and caught four of them.

A woman who pretended to be a lawyer is thought to be the leader.

She knew about laws and made the fake threats sound real.

Two members of the group are still being looked for.

The police are checking if the group tricked other people too.
