Hyderabad MLAs Push for Accelerated Flyover Projects to Ease Traffic Congestion
Hyderabad's leaders went to talk to the national roads minister because the city has really bad traffic jams.
They told him that even though they're building new roads over existing ones (called flyovers), the work is going too slowly.
They asked him to hurry up the work on some specific projects and also said they need new flyovers in busy areas.
The minister said he would look into it and make a decision soon.
Both sides agreed that fixing the traffic problem is really important.
Malkajgiri MP Eatela Rajender met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur to discuss Hyderabad's flyover projects.
Rajender highlighted severe traffic congestion and slow progress on ongoing flyovers like Uppal and Kompally.
He requested expediting these flyovers and sought approval for new ones on Balanagar–Narasapur highway and Sagar X Road.
Gadkari assured a review to accelerate progress and indicated a decision on the Sagar X Road flyover soon.
Both sides agreed on the urgency to address Hyderabad's traffic woes.
