Couple Fined, Elephant Found Dead in Bandipur Tiger Reserve
A couple from Bengaluru got in trouble for taking pictures in a protected forest area called Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
They were caught and had to pay a fine.
The forest officials also found a dead elephant inside the reserve.
The elephant was old and officials think it died naturally, not because of any bad actions by people.
They found the elephant in the forest and it seems like the elephant passed away a few days before they found it.
Bengaluru couple fined Rs 25,000 for taking photos in Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
The couple entered the reserve via Mangala in a four-wheeler.
Forest officials stopped the couple from taking photos, which is against the rules.
A single-tusk elephant, aged about 70, was found dead in the Gopalaswamy Betta range.
Officials believe the elephant died of natural causes, 2-3 days prior.
