NCERT Adds Operation Sindoor Modules to School Curriculum
The Indian government is adding new lessons to schools about something called Operation Sindoor.
These lessons will be for kids in grades 3 through 12.
The lessons talk about a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir that India says was planned by Pakistan.
In response, India attacked what it said were terrorist training camps.
The new lessons are meant to teach kids about this event.
NCERT is introducing two supplementary modules about Operation Sindoor for students in classes 3-12.
The modules are titled 'Operation Sindoor - A Saga of Valour' (classes 3-8) and 'Operation Sindoor - A Mission of Honour and Bravery' (classes 9-12).
The modules state the Pahalgam terror attack was ordered by Pakistan's military and political leadership.
India launched strikes, codenamed Operation Sindoor, on alleged terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The strikes were in response to a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.
