Ball Python Rescued in Mumbai
A big snake called a ball python was found alone in a place where people live in Mumbai.
This kind of snake is not usually found in India, so people think someone might have left it there after keeping it as a pet.
A group that helps animals rescued the snake and gave it to people who take care of forests.
They are going to find a safe place for the snake to live with the help of experts.
The forest people are also trying to find out how the snake got there.
A ball python, not native to India, was found abandoned in a housing society in Mahim, Mumbai.
The snake was rescued by the Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare (RAWW) and handed over to the forest department.
The ball python is suspected to be a lost or abandoned illegal pet.
The forest department is investigating the matter to take necessary action.
The snake will be rehabilitated in consultation with experts from RAWW.
