GVMC Food Safety Teams Inspect Outlets, Levy Fines
The local government in Visakhapatnam sent out teams to check if restaurants and food stalls are following food safety rules.
These teams looked at 76 different places, including restaurants and bakeries, to make sure the food is safe and they aren't using plastic that's been banned.
Because some places weren't following the rules, the teams gave out warnings and collected money in fines.
The government is serious about keeping the public safe and will take tough action against places that don't follow the rules.
GVMC SHE teams conducted a citywide food safety drive.
Inspections covered hotels, restaurants, bakeries, and street food stalls.
76 food establishments were inspected across eight zones.
71 notices were issued due to violations of safety standards.
₹68,600 in fines were collected from 50 outlets.
