NHAI Rates Top Highway DPR Consultants
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has rated 56 consultants who help plan new highways.
The top three are Chaitanya Project Consultancy, Pentacle Consultant, and L&T Infrastructure Engineering.
The best consultant scored 80.75 out of 100, while the lowest scored 23.33.
This rating will help NHAI choose the best consultants for future highway projects.
The rating is provisional, meaning consultants can ask for a review if they have new information.
Recently, the Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, said that the quality of these reports and the work done by contractors is not good.
A DPR is like a detailed plan for building a road, including all the technical and financial details.
NHAI rated 56 DPR consultants on a scale of 100, with scores ranging from 23.33 to 80.75.
Chaitanya Project Consultancy, Pentacle Consultant, and L&T Infrastructure Engineering are the top three consultants.
The rating is provisional and subject to review upon representation by consultants.
The rating aims to ensure transparency, quality, and continuous improvement in consulting services for national highway projects.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has expressed concerns about the poor quality of DPRs and contractor performance.
