Mumbai Court Frames Charges Against Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Accused

A man broke into the home of a famous movie actor named Saif Ali Khan.
The man, whose name is Mohammad Shariful Islam, hurt the actor with a knife.
The actor was taken to a hospital and had an operation to get better.
He stayed in the hospital for five days and then went home.
The police found and arrested the man two days after the bad thing happened.
Now, a judge in Mumbai has officially said there is enough reason for a trial.
The man said he is not guilty.
The court will decide what really happened and whether the man should be punished.

Additional Sessions Judge G P Deshmukh framed the charges after Islam pleaded not guilty.
Islam will face trial under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for robbery with a deadly weapon causing grievous hurt and house trespass.
Khan was repeatedly stabbed in his 12th-floor Bandra apartment on January 16 last year and underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital.
Islam was arrested by police two days after the alleged incident.
