Adilabad Joint-Use Airfield Land Acquisition Reaches 2,009 Acres

The government plans to build a joint-use airfield near Adilabad.

Officials have announced plans to acquire 878.13 acres in Anukunta village.

This brings the announced acquisition total to about 2,009 acres.

Most of the land would be used by the Indian Air Force.

The rest would support civil aviation, repairs, cargo, and aircraft hangars.

The government has approved ₹2,278.14 crore for the project.

Farmers are worried because officials have not said how much they will be paid.

Officials must acquire the land and prepare a detailed project report before construction can begin.
