Delhi HC denies interim relief in Tirupati laddu row
The Delhi High Court has said no to a temporary order requested by a former temple board chairman.
He wanted to stop people from saying bad things about him regarding the holy Tirupati laddus.
The court said it's not fair to decide without hearing the other side.
The argument started when a state leader said animal fat was used in the laddus, but the other party said this was just for political reasons.
The court will hear more about this on January 29.
Delhi High Court refused interim relief to former TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy against alleged defamatory publications.
Reddy sought a restraining order against defendants alleging wrongdoings in ghee procurement for Tirupati laddus.
Justice Amit Bansal stated that ex parte ad interim injunctions are granted only in exceptional circumstances.
The court deemed it premature to grant interim relief without hearing the defendants' defense.
The controversy arose from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's claim of animal fat use in Tirupati laddus.
