Pezeshkian Says United States Must Choose War’s End

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran will not give in to pressure from the United States.

He said Iran does not want the war to continue.

However, he said the United States must choose whether to end it.

The comments came during an interview broadcast after his speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

The war began on February 28 after the United States and Israel attacked Iran.

Iran then launched strikes against Israel and Gulf countries that host United States military bases.

President Donald Trump said the United States could destroy Iran if there is no agreement.

The fighting has killed thousands and displaced millions, according to the report.

The United States says weakening Iran’s nuclear capabilities is one of its goals, while Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful.
