FIIs Raise Stakes in Three Industrial Stocks Amid Strong Growth
Some very large investment groups from outside India are called Foreign Institutional Investors, or FIIs.
They buy small parts of companies, like buying a tiny slice of a pizza.
During the April to June months, they bought more slices of three Indian companies that make pipes, heat exchangers, and flexible hoses.
These companies help build things like water pipelines, air conditioners, and equipment that keeps big computer centres cool.
India's factories made more stuff in these months, which means the country's industry is doing well.
When factories do well, investors get excited about companies that help them.
One company, Welspun, makes big pipes and has lots of orders worth a huge amount of money.
Another company, KRN, makes parts for air conditioners and is building a new factory.
The third company, Aeroflex, makes hoses and parts for keeping computers cool, and its profits grew a lot.
But some of these company shares cost much more than similar companies, so experts think they might be too expensive.
FIIs raised their stakes in Welspun Corp (to 14.6%), KRN Heat Exchanger (to 8.86%), and Aeroflex Industries (to 3.61%) during Q1FY27.
India's Index of Industrial Production rose 5.8% year-on-year in April-June 2026, with June growth accelerating to 7.3%.
Welspun Corp's global orderbook stood at Rs 25,750 crore, and Q1FY27 profit after tax grew 42% year-on-year.
KRN's new HVAC facility increased production capacity by six times, with potential revenue of up to Rs 2,850 crore at optimum utilisation by FY28.
Aeroflex's Q1FY27 profit surged 162% year-on-year, partly driven by data centre cooling products contributing around 23% of revenue.

Stock Valuations
Growth Optimists
FII stake increases and strong earnings growth (e.g., Aeroflex profit up 162% YoY) show conviction that these industrial stocks justify their prices.
Valuation Skeptics
KRN (PE 113.4x vs industry 23.9x) and Aeroflex (PE 87.9x vs industry 21.3x) trade at steep premiums, so they may be overpriced.
Welspun's US Order Concentration
Growth Optimists
A record Rs 25,750 crore orderbook, described as one of the strongest in company history, gives solid revenue visibility through FY28.
Valuation Skeptics
Management itself raised concern that the orderbook is skewed towards US orders, exposing the company to regional concentration risk.
