Delhi Metro Centres Collect Over 41 Tonnes of Old Clothes

Delhi has collection centres where people can leave clothes they no longer need.

Ten centres have collected more than 41 tonnes of clothing.

Nearly 4,000 people have used them.

Some clothes will be reused or made into new products.

Much of the material is being sent for recycling.

Self-help groups are making items such as bags, rugs and pouches from some of the clothes.

These products are sold at the centres.

The government wants to open 10 more centres in January 2027.
