TNPSC Group 2 2026 Registration Opens for 821 Posts
The government of Tamil Nadu in India wants to hire people for many different jobs, like assistants, inspectors, and jailors.
A group called TNPSC is in charge of picking the right people for these jobs.
They announced that 821 jobs are available this time.
People who want these jobs can apply online starting from August 11, 2026.
The last day to send in an application is September 9, 2026.
Before applying, candidates need to make sure they have the right education, usually a college degree.
They also need to know the Tamil language well enough.
There is a big test called the preliminary examination that will happen on November 1, 2026.
If candidates pass that test, they can take more tests later.
Getting one of these jobs is a big deal because it means working for the government and serving the people of Tamil Nadu.
TNPSC issued the notification for the Combined Civil Services Examination-II (Group II and Group IIA Services) 2026 on August 11, 2026.
The recruitment drive covers 821 vacancies: 41 under Group II Services and 780 under Group IIA Services.
Online applications are accepted from August 11 to September 9, 2026, 11:59 PM, with a correction window from September 13 to September 15, 2026.
The preliminary examination on November 1, 2026 will act as a screening test, with its marks not counted toward final ranking.
Eligibility includes a Bachelor's degree for most posts, post-specific age limits (minimum 18 years), and adequate knowledge of Tamil, along with OTR registration for a Rs 150 fee.
