Omar Abdullah Introduces Governance Reform Bills in J&K Assembly

Omar Abdullah introduced three new bills in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.

One bill would change some offences and remove certain old laws.

Another bill is designed to make it easier for businesses and citizens to work with government rules.

It would replace some permissions with clearer, rule-based governance.

The government says this could help attract investment and create jobs.

It also says the changes could support long-term economic growth and make daily life easier.

A third bill would change the law about pensions for members of the state legislature.

The bills were introduced during the Assembly’s Autumn session and had already been published in the Official Gazette.
