Chittoor Mango Farmers to Get ₹176 Crore in Subsidy
Farmers in Chittoor who grow mangoes are getting money to help them.
The government is giving them about ₹176 crore in total, with the central government and state government each paying some.
This money is to help mango farmers because their mangoes are worth less than usual.
Unlike another state, all farmers in this area can get the money, no matter how big their farms are.
The officials are checking which farmers sold their mangoes at approved places to make sure the money goes to the right people.
Farmers will get the money in their bank accounts soon.
Mango farmers in the Chittoor region will receive ₹176 crore in subsidy relief.
The subsidy is part of the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS), with contributions from both the central and state governments.
Unlike Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh has no restrictions on subsidy eligibility based on farm size.
Around 3.40 lakh tonnes of Totapuri mangoes are expected to be eligible for the subsidy.
The subsidy will be credited to farmers' bank accounts, pending verification of sales at authorized centers.
