Anthropic Considers Expanding Credit Line Ahead of IPO

Anthropic Considers Expanding Credit Line Ahead of IPO

Anthropic is an artificial intelligence company that may sell shares to the public soon.

Before that happens, it is discussing a very large loan facility with banks.

The facility is expected to be around $10 billion, but it could become larger or smaller.

A revolving credit facility works somewhat like a large credit card that a company can use when needed.

Banks want to participate because they may also receive important jobs in Anthropic’s IPO.

Anthropic is working with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan on the planned offering.

The company is also connected to discussions about financing a large data center project in Texas.

Anthropic and OpenAI have both filed confidential paperwork to go public.

Anthropic is expected to potentially list its shares before OpenAI.
