East Bengal Stun Al Arabi 4-1 To Seal Group-Stage Spot

A football team called East Bengal played a very important game in Kolkata, India.

Their opponents were a team from Kuwait called Al Arabi SC.

East Bengal was losing 1-0 because Al Arabi scored from a penalty kick, which is a free shot at the goal.

It looked like East Bengal might lose and have to go home sad.

But in the very last minute of normal playing time, a player named Jay Gupta scored with a header, making the score 1-1.

Because the score was tied, the game continued into extra time, which is bonus playing time.

In extra time, East Bengal played amazingly: captain Mohammed Rashid scored to make it 2-1.

Then David Lalhlansanga and Rohit Danu each scored, making the final score 4-1.

Because they won the game, East Bengal will now play in the group stage of a big Asian football tournament called the AFC Champions League Two.
