Lucknow Man Arrested After Alleged Car Run-Over Bid

Police in Lucknow arrested a man after a woman accused him of trying to drive over her.

The woman said he had hidden his religious identity when they became friends.

She also said he later left her for another woman.

She found him with another woman near a tea stall and confronted him.

Police said she stood in front of his car when he tried to drive away.

A video appears to show her on the bonnet of the moving car.

She fell off after the car seemed to speed up and reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The man is being questioned, and police have opened an attempt-to-murder case.
