Allahabad High Court Grants Acting Headmasters Headmaster Salary Rights

The Allahabad High Court considered cases involving assistant teachers who acted as headmasters.

These teachers had performed the higher role for a long time.

The court said they should receive the salary meant for headmasters.

Their higher salary should begin from the day they took charge.

The court also removed a rule that limited back payments to three years.

The decision applies to petitions filed by 1,030 petitioners.

Justice Pankaj Bhatia issued the order through the Lucknow bench.

Poonam Rani Varshney was one of the petitioners.
