Farmers Protest India-US Trade Deal

Farmers Protest India-US Trade Deal

Farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh started marching to Delhi to protest against a proposed trade deal between India and the US.

However, they were stopped by the Haryana Police at the Shambhu border.

The farmers are worried that this trade deal could hurt their livelihoods, especially in agriculture and dairy sectors.

They want the government to make the details of the deal public and consult with them before signing anything.

The police set up barricades to prevent the farmers from entering Delhi, which the farmers see as a suppression of their right to protest.
