Amorim Rules Out January Transfers for Manchester United
Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has said that there will be no new players joining the team in January.
This is despite many players being injured or away for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The team is currently sixth in the Premier League, close to both the top four and the teams behind them.
Amorim wants the team to focus on winning their next game against Leeds United, which will be a tough match.
He has also said that no one has asked to leave the team, and no one is coming in.
So, the team will have to manage with the players they have.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has ruled out any January transfers, despite a depleted squad due to injuries and AFCON absences.
The team is currently sixth in the Premier League, just three points behind the top four and equally close to the teams behind them.
Amorim's stance is a shift from two weeks ago when he suggested transfers were still possible.
Key injured players include Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo, Matthijs de Ligt, and Harry Maguire.
Amorim is focusing on the team's next match against Leeds United, acknowledging it will be a tough game.
