Japan's Takaichi Faces Market Challenges Amid Stimulus Plans

Japan's Takaichi Faces Market Challenges Amid Stimulus Plans

Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is dealing with big economic problems.

She has a huge spending plan of $137 billion, but this is making investors worried.

The value of the Japanese yen is very low, and the cost of borrowing money is going up.

Takaichi is trying to calm these worries by saying she won't do things that could make the situation worse, like what happened in the UK with Liz Truss.

She is also trying to cut wasteful spending.

At the same time, Japan is boosting its defense because of tensions with China over Taiwan.

Taiwan is happy with Japan's support.

China is not happy and has canceled flights and stopped Japanese artists from performing there.

Both Japan and Taiwan are spending more on defense to stay safe.
