CBI Alleges Former Railway DRM Held ₹2.19 Crore Assets

CBI Alleges Former Railway DRM Held ₹2.19 Crore Assets

The CBI is investigating former railway officer Saurabh Prasad.

It says he had about ₹2.19 crore more in assets than his known legal income could explain.

The agency examined his income, spending and assets from 2021 to 2024.

Prasad held several senior railway positions, including DRM of the Waltair Division.

Searches at his home reportedly found foreign money, gold coins, jewellery and documents.

He had previously been arrested in an alleged ₹25 lakh bribery case.

The CBI has charged him under India’s anti-corruption law.

These are allegations, and the articles do not report a final court decision.
