Warangal Journalists Protest Effigy Burning, Demand MLA Apology

Journalists in Warangal held a protest on Wednesday.

They were upset because an effigy of a media organisation had been burned.

The journalists wore black badges and sat on the road.

They asked Wardhannapet MLA K R Nagaraju to apologise.

Their association president said journalists should be able to ask questions without being intimidated.

He also alleged that similar incidents had happened four times.

Union leaders said people who disagree with a news report can contact the media organisation or use legal channels.

The protesters said their campaign would continue until the MLA apologised.
