Two cops suspended over negligence in UP shooting
Two brothers, Gulshan and Rohit Tripathi, shot and injured two men in a village in Uttar Pradesh.
The police officers in charge were suspended because they did not take action against the brothers earlier, even though they had many criminal cases against them.
The officers did not stop the brothers from committing another crime.
The police said if they had taken strict action after the first incident, the second crime might have been prevented.
Two brothers, Gulshan and Rohit Tripathi, shot and injured two men in Kanaili village on July 19.
The brothers have multiple criminal cases against them and are known as 'history-sheeters'.
Police officers SHO Sher Singh Verma and In-charge Jitendra Pratap Singh were suspended for negligence.
An earlier incident on July 6 involving the brothers was not properly addressed by the police.
