Meaning of the date approval
Reported Indian Participation
Pakistan media and officials interpret the Indian delegation’s endorsement of the dates as an indication that India intends to participate.
Final Approval Still Uncertain
The article says that endorsing the dates does not itself guarantee that Indian athletes will travel to Pakistan.
India’s sporting policy
Reported Indian Participation
India may permit participation because the South Asian Games are a multilateral event involving several countries.
Final Approval Still Uncertain
India has had limited sporting ties with Pakistan since the 2008 Mumbai attacks, with relations worsening after the Pulwama and Pahalgam attacks, so participation remains subject to political approval.
