Navi Mumbai Activists Urge Phased Reopening of Pandavkada, Kharghar Hills

Some grown-ups in a city called Navi Mumbai love to visit hills and a waterfall to play, walk and relax.

The government closed these places during the rainy season because the ground can get slippery and rocks can fall.

A group of people called activists think this is not fair.

They asked the Chief Minister, the leader of the state, to let people visit again.

They want experts to check the hills first to make sure they are safe.

The experts could be scientists who study rocks and people who know how to build strong walls.

The activists also want fences and good drains to stop landslides.

They say these natural places help people feel happy and less stressed.

They hope the government will open the places slowly, one step at a time, after making them safe.
