Assam partners with ISRO for ASSAMSAT
The Assam government is working with ISRO to create a special satellite called ASSAMSAT.
This satellite will help predict floods better and make it easier for the government to help people.
Right now, they are planning and studying how to make this satellite.
Once ready, it will give quick and accurate information about floods and other important things like farming and the environment.
This will make it easier for the government to take care of the people and the state.
Assam government is collaborating with ISRO to develop ASSAMSAT for flood forecasting and governance.
Discussions held with ISRO Chairman and Union Minister for Space to seek technical support.
National Space Policy entities and private firms will collaborate on the project.
Feasibility study and mission plan are being prepared before finalizing the design and launch timeline.
