Madras High Court Reserves Order on TVK Leader's Plea to Quash Case
A leader from a political party called TVK, named Aadhav Arjuna, is in trouble for posting things online after a stampede at one of his party's events.
He wrote messages that sounded like he was warning the government that young people might get angry and protest if they didn't fix problems.
Some people thought these messages were too strong and could cause trouble, so the police filed a case against him.
Mr. Arjuna says he didn't mean to cause trouble and thinks the case is unfair.
He asked a big court, the Madras High Court, to make the case go away.
The court listened to both sides and is now thinking about what to do, and they will let everyone know their decision later.
They need to decide if his online posts were really a problem or just a warning.
Madras High Court has reserved orders on a petition by TVK General Secretary Aadhav Arjuna to cancel an FIR against him.
The FIR was registered for allegedly posting inflammatory social media messages hinting at a 'Gen Z revolution' after a Karur stampede.
Arjuna's posts on X warned of youth uprising if the government failed to address public anger, and were deleted within 34 minutes.
Arjuna claims the FIR is politically motivated, his remarks were misinterpreted, and no violence resulted.
The prosecution contended the post reached over one lakh users and could provoke unrest.
