Amrut's Expedition Whisky Ranks Third Globally
Amrut Distilleries from India made a very special whisky called Expedition.
It is 15 years old and costs Rs 10 lakh, which is a lot of money.
A famous book about whisky, called Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, said it is the third best whisky in the world.
This is a big deal because it shows that India can make really good whisky.
Before this, another Indian whisky called Amrut Fusion was also famous.
The people who made Expedition say they worked hard and didn’t listen to people who said India couldn’t make good whisky.
They are happy that their whisky is now recognized as one of the best in the world.
Amrut Distilleries’ Expedition (15-year-old Single Malt) ranked third in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2025-26.
Priced at Rs 10 lakh, it is India’s most expensive whisky.
This is the second time an Indian whisky has gained global recognition.
Amrut Distilleries aims to challenge traditional whisky-making norms.
The whisky is noted for its maturity and complexity, aged in a climate previously considered unsuitable.
