Root and Archer Set Historic Pink-Ball Record

Root and Archer Set Historic Pink-Ball Record

Joe Root and Jofra Archer made history in a special night Test match.

They were the last two players from their team, and they scored 70 runs together.

This is the first time this has ever happened in a night Test match at the Gabba.

Before this, the record was held by two players from New Zealand who also scored 60 runs.

This is a big deal because it's really hard to score so many runs when you're the last two players.

England scored 334 runs in their first innings, and Australia will now have to bat under bright sunshine.

The pink ball is expected to make batting more challenging as the game progresses, so the timing of Australia's innings could be very important.
