HP OmniPad 12 Balances Laptop Ambitions With Tablet Limitations
The HP OmniPad 12 is a large tablet that can also work like a small laptop.
It comes with a detachable keyboard and a cover that acts as a stand.
Its screen looks sharp and its speakers are good for watching shows and movies.
The battery lasted close to 18 hours in testing.
The keyboard was comfortable for writing and office tasks.
The tablet is fast enough for normal activities such as browsing, calls and note-taking.
It is less suitable for demanding games or heavy work because its processor is not very powerful.
It also cannot connect to a monitor through a wired USB-C connection.
Overall, it is a useful second device for people who want both tablet and laptop features.
The 12-inch 2K display, quad speakers and long battery life make the OmniPad 12 strong for video and everyday entertainment.
Its detachable keyboard, trackpad and PC-like Android interface support note-taking, office work and laptop-style use.
Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, the tablet handles routine tasks but trails faster tablets in demanding workloads and gaming.
The tablet weighs 600g, while the keyboard-cover package weighs about 1.25kg and includes a stand.
Starting at ₹48,999, it lacks wired USB-C display output and offers only one major Android update plus two years of software and security updates.
