Uthappa Questions Kohli, Sharma Test Retirements
Two famous Indian cricket players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, stopped playing Test cricket this year.
Another former player, Robin Uthappa, thinks their retirements were not natural and that there might be more to the story.
He said that both players seemed motivated and were practicing hard before they decided to retire.
Now, Kohli and Sharma are focusing on playing One Day Internationals (ODIs) and trying to be part of the team for the 2027 World Cup.
Uthappa also mentioned that Rohit's poor performance in Australia might not have been a true reflection of his skills.
He shared his thoughts on his YouTube channel, suggesting that the true reasons for their retirements might only be known if Kohli and Sharma share them.
Robin Uthappa questioned the 'natural' aspect of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's Test retirements.
Both players retired from Test cricket in May 2025, with Kohli's retirement being more surprising.
Uthappa suggested that the true reasons might only be known if Kohli and Sharma share them.
The 3-1 series defeat in Australia was their last Test series.
